Psalm 100 (The Message)
1-2 On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.
4 Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
5 For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
This is obviously a Psalm of thanksgiving as well as a call to worship. If you look back at the word GOD 4 out of the 6 Gods are capitalized like GOD not God, that is to indicate the true name of God Yahweh. This God is worthy of our praise, this God has done so much for us, so right now get on your knees and worship God, nothing too fancy just praise Him for what He has done for you. Praise Him for creating you, for saving you, for creating the world in which you live, for making you unique and for loving you. Go ahead and do it, I’ll wait . . . ok good. Now it is important to note that they use the Yahweh version of God, this is to indicate God in all His glory, the everpresent God the real God, not the little god like TV or money that we may have given devotion to, but the real God that is always there for us when we need him. So praise the everpresent, always loving, always knowing, always there God that loves you and created you and . . . well you get it! Stand and thank God and Praise Him!!!
