What does it mean to be human? Are we more human the more flawed we are, or are we more human the more perfect we become? What defines humanity? Is it the struggle to better ourselves, or the admitting we are sinful and broken? I’ve often wondered, if humans cannot be perfect, then why do we try so hard to be better people? Why work to achieve something that cannot be achieved? I for one believe that it is the struggle to better ourselves that makes us more human. Sure Christ was the perfect example of humanity, the perfect human in every way, there is no denying that. So is the pursuit of Christ-likeness the most noble and human of pursuits?
